Park Wood Aims
Activities in the nursery will be carefully planned to achieve the following aims:
1. “Learn through Play”. Children learn most effectively through play.
2. Address the individual needs of the children in our care.
3. Communicate with others and become effective in the use of language so they may express their needs.
4. Develop the necessary social skills for their Personal Development.
5. Teach the six areas of learning encompassed in the Foundation Stage.
6. Respect the spiritual and moral values of others.
7. Gain an understanding that everyone in the Nursery is equal and should have equal opportunities.
8. Develop an understanding of the world outside the Nursery.
9. Develop confidence and learn to become independent by becoming more
Self-reliant.
10. To involve the Parent in their child’s learning.
